RESEARCH
My research focuses on the design, modeling, and optimization of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG)-based photonic devices for optical sensing and communication. During my Ph.D. at Banaras Hindu University, I theoretically investigated apodized and tapered FBG structures for highly sensitive refractive index biosensing, with a particular emphasis on cancer cell detection through optimized grating designs using Coupled Mode Theory (CMT), Transfer Matrix Method (TMM), and MATLAB simulations. Currently, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, my research is directed toward advanced FBG-based dispersion compensation techniques for optical communication and the development of fiber- optic strain sensors for practical structural health monitoring and other real-world engineering applications. My broader research interests include fiber-optic sensors, optical communication, computational photonics, and photonic device optimization.
